Terms & Conditions of Vehicle Hire

1. Driver Qualifications & Eligibility

• All drivers must be between the ages of 23 and 75 and hold a full UK or eligible EU driving licence held for a minimum of 24 months.
• Drivers must present their original photocard driving licence and generate a valid DVLA Check Code via GOV.UK prior to vehicle release.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor speeding offences (SP30). Drivers with major convictions (including drink/drug driving, dangerous driving, or disqualifications within the last 5 years) cannot be insured under our fleet policy.

2. Security Deposits & Damage Excess Liability

• Standard Damage Excess: All standard rentals are subject to a statutory damage excess of £2,750.00 per incident.
• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Where opted and paid (£15.00/day), CDW reduces your damage excess liability to £500.00.
• Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is pre-authorized at vehicle collection and refunded within 3 to 5 business days following return inspection.
• Overhead Damage Exclusion: Any damage caused to the roof or overhead structure above cab height (including Luton van Luton boxes and tail lifts due to low bridges or car park barriers) is STRICTLY EXCLUDED from all insurance cover and remains the 100% liability of the hirer.

3. Fuel Policy

All vehicles operate on a Return Same Level fuel policy. Vehicles are dispatched with a full tank (8/8) and must be returned with the same fuel fraction. Fuel shortages will be charged at current pump prices plus a £15 refueling charge.

4. Road Traffic Contraventions & Section 66 Liability

The hirer acknowledges full statutory liability under Section 66 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 for any parking charge notices (PCN), council penalty notices, bus lane contraventions, congestion zone charges, and speeding penalties incurred during the rental agreement period. A standard administration fee of £35.00 + VAT applies to each notice processed.
